Just Froggn Good [JFG]: Guild Charter
- Guild Mission:-
To build a guild that prospers on its members so that all members may enjoy the full experience of the game. Each member, high or low, should work for each others success. Only through cooperation, teamwork, and Esprit Decore can we enjoy everything our game time can be. "Human beings are not perfect. When you are part of a team, that team becomes perfect". JFG recognizes many different styles of play. No style of a player is greater than any other style, each of us brings something useful to the guild. To enjoy the "End-Game" it takes a group of people, working together, in unison, and co-operating as a team. There are NO Subarticles for this Article.
- Respect:-
Each member of JFG, from the lowest rank to the highest rank, should be dedicated to the betterment of the guild and each other. This is a two way street. If you want respect you have to give it away. In other words "If you don't give it away you don't get it in return". No guild member is required to sacrifice "everything" for the sake of another guild member. But we should sacrifice something for each other. We are here to have fun together sharing our time and enjoyment with each other to have fun gaming.
Keep in mind, many of your guild mates dedicate hundreds of hours to the guild rather than to individuals. If you feel you are not getting the support you deserve you are free to leave at anytime. Respect for your guild is mandatory for those who wish to stay.
- The Guild Tag:-
This is your guild... it is also MY guild... it is also the home for over 200 members. DO NOTHING that would bring disrespect or dishonor to the [JFG] tag. There are people here who dedicate 100's of hours each month to JFG and its members. Each member's actions reflect on the whole of JFG.
- Leaders:-
JFG ranks are designed with a purpose in mind. Those above you have earned the right, in the guild, to be there. There is well over 50 years of combined gaming experience in JFG. Show those above you the respect they have earned. We would rather spend our time working with those who WANT to be here rather than those who do not.
- Each Other:-
Bottom line... don't burn your bridges. JFG is dedicated to helping its members so that they can help others too. JFG is not only here for the casual gamer but we are also focused on the END GAME, High Level Content, and PVP. I challenge each member of JFG to uphold the Guild Mission statement (see Guild Mission).
- Responsibility:-
Be responsible to yourself and to your guild mates. If you are asked to do something to help, then help out. If YOU ask for help, someone will help you. No member of JFG is here to SERVE any other member. Be polite and non-demanding. It is important to remember, your guild does not exist solely for your gain.
You are responsible for your leveling, gear, and experiences. If you ask politely for assistance someone will help you politely, if they can.
- Knowledge:-
JFG is dedicated to being a perfect team. Thus learn your toon, learn the game, learn yourself and learn your guild.
- Ignorance of your toon and the game is acceptable. The worth of a person is not measured in how many times they succeed, but in how well we get up every time we fall. There are people here that have YEARS of gaming knowledge and you CAN learn something from them.
- Ignorance of yourself and of your guild is no excuse. Each member is expected to learn about JFG and its rules. Your guild mates can help you learn more about yourself as well as the guild. We recommend each member strive to be open-minded and honest with each other and yourself. All the information you could ever want is on the web. All the information about JFG is on the guild's website.
- Consequences:-
Violation of this section is handled first by talking to you, second by demoting you, and finally by /gkick. We just don't have the time to teach you to be a good human being. (see Article 14 - Violation Procedure)
- Language:-
JFG utilizes multiple forms of communication in an effort to increase the enjoyment of the game, its ability to act as a team, and for the enjoyment of all members and friends of the guild. Since we have a diverse mission and guild, there is no doubt we will have problems in our chats from time to time. To help decrease those problems JFG will adopt the following:
- Guild Chat (/g):-
To speak in guild chat is a privilege not a right. JFG is family oriented. Each member is expected to keep the language PG-13. We have young ears and minds here and they may be impressionable. All JFG members are decent people and deserve the respect to ENJOY their time in game.
- 18+ Guild Chat:-
JFG is not currently maintaining a guild sanctioned 18 and over chat.
- Teamspeak:-
(see also Article 9 - Teamspeak) JFG will maintain a 24 hour Teamspeak server. Same rules apply here that apply for section (a) and (b) above. JFG will not be held responsible if members of your household hear things through your speakers. If you are in the adult channel(s) you may want to turn down your speakers, stay out of the channel or get a headset.
- Main Lobby is for open chat and is treated just like Guild Chat (/g). Officer Channels are restricted to officers ONLY. Veteran Channels are restricted to Veterans and above.
- Creation and Use of unregistered channels is acceptable and encouraged but those channels operate at the discretion of their creators or channel moderators.
- Our TeamSpeak is an open guild server. Anyone with the password to the server can use it. Often times we invite members outside of the guild to join us. Any full Member of JFG may ask a Veteran or above for permission to have someone outside the guild join the Teamspeak Server (TS). It is your responsibility to be sure your guest knows our rules. If they don't follow our rules action can be taken up to and including banning their IP from our servers. This is at the discretion of the Server Admin(s) and/or Channel Admin(s) and you most likely will not be allowed to bring others onto the Teamspeak Server (TS) later.
- Harrassment/Flamming:-
Disruption of the peace and dignity of the guild and its various chats is prohibited. This is the first warning.
Harassment is a violation of Blizzards TOS and JFG has zero-tolerance for it. We realize that personalities will clash from time to time. If someone asks you to stop, then please show them the respect (see Article 2 - Respect) and do so.
Flamming will not be tolerated ever! JFG is a large guild and most of its members stick around because they enjoy a clean place to chat. Depending on the seriousness of the particular incident punishment can start at a verbal warning (section e) and go as far as kicking you from the guild (/gkick)!
- Consequences:-
Unless otherwise stated above you will be warned verbally the first time a violation occurs. A second violation will result in a demotion to Rank 9 (Celestrial Turd) for no more than 12 hours. A third offense or more will keep you at Celestrial Turd for at least 24 hours. During this 24 hour time, Officers and Core will discuss the incident and decide, by majority vote, if further action will be taken. A Core Member or Officer will inform you of the decision either verbally or by in game mail. Anything from continued isolation at Rank 9 to removing you from JFG (/gkick) is possible. This chapter does not apply to Officers, Core or GM in the performance of their duties.
- Groups:-
We like to group up and hunt together. We also like to get things accomplished. It is more fun to start a quest/instance/raid and actually beat the thing than it is to die 10 times on the first boss. Since JFG members include casual players as well as semi-pro players (high end gamers and PvPers) and all play styles benefit from good group tactics everyone should learn "how to group". Members (rank 7) are expected to learn from the higher ranks and higher level players. Higher ranks and level players are expected to share and TEACH others what they have learned. Everyone makes mistakes, we should learn from these and not rudely criticize each other. Mutual aid is a great thing and we all learn things from each other.
- Etiquette:-
Reserved for later additions
- Guild Groups:-
JFG does not require members to group. In JFG groups it is expected that the leader of the group knows HOW to lead a group effectively. If you don't know how, please give the party leadership to someone who does. "Learn to follow before you learn to lead". Of course the best way to learn is get in there and make mistakes. We suggest each member of the group assist the party leader in learning and that the party leader be open to CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
- Non-Guild Groups:-
Your guild mates expect you to set a good example. If you promised your time to a group outside of the guild, it is Honorable, to give that group your full attention and dedication. Even in light of guild groups asking for you, it is rude to dump & run and make the excuse "my guild wants me to go with them".
- Raid Groups:-
Reserved for later additions.
- Guild Events:-
Although your attendance at guild functions is not required it is HIGHLY recommended. Veterans and above look at your participation in guild events when considering promotions. If you say you will attend a guild event, be responsible enough to attend. If you can not make the event you promised to attend be respectful enough to let the event coordinator know a head of time so they can make other arrangements if necessary.
- Recruitment Groups:-
This is a special guild group used during Closed Recruitment periods for the guild. A recruitment group will be used for access into JFG. The idea of the group is that the prospective member will group and play with at least 3 members of JFG (rules below). This group could be larger so long as the criteria below are met. During the group the 3 members of JFG should get to know the prospective member and decide if he/she will make a good addition to the guild. The officer of the group has the right to decline any prospective member as they see fit.
If a /ginvite is sent, it will be the responsibility of the VETERAN (or above) to send a Welcome message to the guild for the new member and to update the new member on the guilds assets (website, TS, forums, guild bank, etc). The OFFICER is responsible for promoting the prospect so they can use /g, as well as emailing the Guild Recruitment Officer on the new addition.
- Any current guild member may create a recruitment group.
- When the recruitment group is formed, the prospect member shall be given Rank 8 - Toadstool and hold that rank for the duration of the recruitment group only.
- The group must consist of the prospective member, the recruiting member, and at least one OFFICER, CORE MEMBER or GM.
- The group must contain at least one VETERAN or above.
- The recruitment group must have at least three (3) JFG guild members.
- Sometime during the group's life, JFG members must discuss the Toadstool's entry into JFG.
- Sometime during the group's life or at the end of the group the OFFICER may /ginvite the new member.
- Consequences:-
Since JFG is dedicated to helping each other, gross violations of the chapter may result in a superior ranking member speaking one on one with you in a private setting. This could be through /tells, in game mail, pm's on the forums, in private chat channels.
- Add Ons:-
One of the greatest assets in WoW is the ability for others to write little programs that help us play the game. Due to JFG's diverse play style, we do not claim any one addon "better" than another. Members/Players will surely have their own opinion's and favorite addons. You can find those opinion's or post your own in the guilds Tech and Addon Forum.
- Suggested Addon's:-
See the Tech and Addon Forum for suggestions.
- Banned Addons:-
Any addon or program that violates Blizzard's T.O.S (Terms of Service) or JFG's Guild Charter.
- Required Addon's:-
If you are interested in "end game content" or PvP. You may be required to run specific addons by the Raid Leader. These addons help with the raids ability to function efficiently and are vital to its success.
- Reserved for latter additions
- Consequences:-
Violation of this section will result in a demotion to rank 9 (Celestrial Turd). Core Members and Officers will discuss further punishment based on the seriousness of the incident.
- Cheating:-
Speed hacks are a violation of the Blizzard T.O.S (Terms of Service) and are dishonorable to JFG. If you are caught by us you can expect an immediate demotion and possible /gkick.
- Other Hacks:-
Since we take care of each other let me dismiss this now. THE ONLY WORKING HACK IN WOW IS A SPEED HACK!!! Everything else is a lie. Other hacks exist, however they do not work on Blizzard's LIVE server. These hacks are watched for closely by Blizzard or work only on emulated servers.
- Consequences:-
If you are caught by Blizzard you will be /gkicked so /gquit and save us the trouble. If a member is caught by JFG you will be told to stop using the cheat/hack and loose your rank in the guild. Any further violations will result in the member being /gkicked. This is the ONLY WARNING!
- Ranks & Promotions:-
JFG maintains 10 ranks. This section will detail the requirements for promotion to those ranks, powers & privilege of the rank, expectations of each rank, and any required duties of that rank. This chapter will define procedure for promotions to rank with adherence to the ranks requirements.
- Basic Requirement:-
- Dedication to the guild comes in many forms. Such things as adherence to the guilds charter, frequency of assisting guild mates, donations to the guild, coordination of events, initiating groups/hunts/raids, volunteering for special details, assisting or supporting the guilds services, or giving of ones time to special projects (like this website). Any member wishing to gain promotion will need to show some dedication to the guild.
- A member of the guild must WANT the promotion. There is no point in giving more responsibility to someone who does not truly want to except it. Thus it is the members responsibility to advise his/her superiors of their interest in promotion. This BY NO MEANS removes superior ranking members from scouting and looking for members who wish to be promoted! Most people will take it as a great compliment if they are asked to accept a promotion... even if they decline!
- Procedure:-
All members of JFG have the opportunity to advance in the guild, earning not only the respect of their peers but gaining more responsibility and control over the guilds direction as a whole. This section will describe the procedure for promotion, describe the rank responsible or able to promote, and describe any special procedure regarding promotions of rank.
- No rank can promote a member to itself.
- The only exception is the GM who may (as described in subarticles j and k of this chapter) give Rank 0 control to another member of the guild.
- Lieutenants, Officers, Core and GM are the only authorized ranks to Promote (/gpromote) from Rank 9 - Celestial Turd. Veterans and Specialists may /gpromote with the consent of an Officer or higher.
- No member may be Promoted (/gpromot) against his/her will. They must want the rank to attain the rank.
- Veterans and Specialists may Promote (/gpromote) Toadstools to members with Officer consent.
- Veteran, Specialist and Lieutenants may promote lower ranks per the requirements of the rank and in accordance to any limitation set forth elsewhere in the Guilds Charter or Doctrine. Note: Officers and Core reserve the right to over turn any promotion given by those under their rank.
- It is the duty of all Members of JFG to watch for potential promotions amongst their peers. Suggesting other members for promotion shows maturity, humbleness and leadership in the suggesting member.
- Any member may petition, by any means of communication, for promotion. The higher ranking member will discuss the promotion with his or her superiors prior to promotion (/gpromote) of the petitioner.
- Promotions to Specialist shall be carefully weighed. This is a powerful rank and has many responsibilities.
- Promotions to any officer rank must be approved by one Core Member and is defined previously in this Article.

This is the "dog house" rank. This rank will be used as an alternative punishment to /gkick for minor violations of the guilds charters or rules. - Rank 1 - Core Member:-
Also known as "The Core". Core Members are the original creators of the guild. The Core is made of 4 core members and 1 GM currently. There must always be an uneven number of Core. Core Members and the GM rule equally. Neither one outweighing the other. Other than through the mechanics of WOW there is no difference between this rank and the GM.
- Promotion to: There must always be at least 3 Core (including the GM) and no greater than 7 Core (including the GM). Unanimous Core vote will allow any guild member to attain this rank. In the event a Core Member leaves or becomes inactive the remaining Core must agree on a replacement from inside the guild. This replacement must be located and voted on within 2 weeks of the announced leave or inactivity of the Core member.
- Privileges: Core has full power over the guild (allowable by the mechanics of the game)

Core may not create doctrine that directly hurts, demoralizes, or destroys the guild in part or in whole. Core is expected to show through deed and word all duties associated with all ranks including their own. Core is expected to protect its members from gross abuse of power for without the members the Core is nothing. Core will protect all ranks of the guild from each other whenever possible. Core is expected to train, support and protect the Lieutenants and Officers in an effort to develop a cohesive team.
- Duties: The Core will create and maintain various instructions regarding the assets of the guild for their members. These instruction(s) include but are not limited to, Instruction for Teamspeak use, Grouping Etiquette and Recruitment Policy. Core will create and vote on the guilds charter and direct the GM to write and maintain the charter. Core may, at its discretion and with majority, discuss, vote and create new doctrine as necessary to promote the betterment of the guild. Each Core member may at their discretion use the power of their rank to maintain the guilds peace and dignity. Core may, by Core notice (posting in the Core or Officer forum), delegate to any rank or member any duties it sees fit so long as it does not directly violate the Guild Charter. Core Members may over ride any rank or power necessary to maintain the guilds good order. Core may not over ride the decision of another Core member. The Core may, by 2/3 majority vote, instruct the GM to remove (/gkick) or demote (/demote) another Core Member if in so doing betters the Guilds peace and dignity. Core must adhere to the Guild Charter but may modify the Guild Charter without notice by majority vote (see also Article 14)
- Rank 0 - Guild Master:-
The Guild Master is a member of the Core. The Guild Master is nothing more than the figure head but due to game mechanics is limited to only a single person. The GM rules the guild equally with the Core and as such must adhere to the Core's expectations and duties as well as this ranks expectations and duties. It is assumed the GM will provide direction for the guild, in accordance with the guild charter.
- Promotion to: Due to limits in the games mechanics there can be only one GM. The GM may not be removed from this rank except as noted in this chapter. In the event the GM is removed, becomes inactive or leaves the rank the Core will select a new GM from any member of the guild by majority vote of the Core. If the ranking GM becomes inactive for more than 30 days(blizzard policy) the Core will have to contact a Blizzard Game Master to assist in promoting the selected member to GM.
- Privilege: The GM has full guild power. The GM will not use the power of his rank to exert control over the Core. If this happens the Core may organize a complete exodus of the guilds members and create a new guild. The Core may adopt to use this charter for use in the new guild. The GM may remove (/gkick), demote (/gdemote), promote (/gpromote) to the Core with a vote from the Core (Article 6, SubArticle "The Core"). The GM may vote as Core normally in matters of promotion (/gpromote) to the Core (Article 6, SubArticle "The Core"). In matters of removal (/gkick) or demotion (/gdemote) from the Core the GM may only vote to break a tie.
- Expectation: The GM will support and protect the Core for the betterment of the guild. The GM will protect the members of the guild from gross misuse of powers and may change the powers of rank as necessary to maintain the guilds dignity and members security. The GM will carry out the same expectations as described for Core Members.
- Duties: The GM will maintain the Guilds Charter as directed by the Core. The GM will maintain a working guild website, voice chat server, and guild forums. The GM may out source to professional services to maintain the guilds website, voice chat server and guild forums. The GM may delegate authority to any member or rank to further promote his duty of rank and betterment of the guild. The GM will carry out the same duties as described for Core Members.

- Guild Website and Forum:-
Every member is required to register on the guilds website. Members of the guild under the age of 13 are not required to register but may do so after contacting either the GM or Guild Recruitment Officer. The website is used not only by JFG but by its sister guild HORDE BY DESIRE. Other guilds may be added at the discretion of the webmaster. JFG members are expected to adhere to the principles of this charter when dealing with other guilds/groups/entities on any forum. Game and Self knowledge are important aspects of any JFG member and we can always learn something from someone else.
- Registering:-
Currently JFG's guild site is maintained at www.slivers-net.org and you may register at that address. Follow the instructions below to register on the guilds website:
- Click any of the "Register" links on the site.
- Read the "Agreement Terms" and click the appropriate link at the bottom.
- If you are UNDER THE AGE OF 13 - Please contact the GM or Guild Recruitment Officer to learn how to get the COPPA agreement. It is against federal law for us to store any personal information about you without your parent's written permission.
- After agreement to the terms fill out the form and click the "SUBMIT" button at the bottom of the page.
- On the next page DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL and other information for correctness. If your email is wrong you will NOT be able to activate your account.
- Enter the confirmation number located in the blue security block and click the "FINISH" button.
- A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you entered during registration and email will be sent to the webadmin.
- Check your mailbox and when you receive your confirmation letter click the link inside that mail. BE SURE AND READ the email as it contains important information.
- You are now a registered member!! GOOD JOB!!
- Login to the site and check your private messages. You should receive one.
- Website Groups:-
Registered members of the guilds website should apply to at least one group. Members can be a part of multiple groups. Primarily most JFG members will want to join the ALLIANCE :: MEMBER group. Some forums and parts of the website are restricted to certain groups. Example, an anonymous visitor cannot see the RAID board and they can not view member's photo albums. The steps for joining a group are:
- Login to the website.
- In the main menu (left side of the page) click "GROUPS".
- From the drop-down menu select the group you wish to join and click the button to view information about the group.
- You will see some information about the group and a button called "JOIN GROUP". click that button.
- You have now sent an email to that group's moderator. The moderator will review the application and get back with you.
- Forum Use:-
Guild leadership will provide at a minimum a general guild forum, officer forum, and core forum. Guild members are required to uphold any rules of the site created by the website host or forum moderators so long as they don't violate the guild charter. Posts in the officer and core forums are considered private matters of the leadership and should be held in confidence unless directed by a Core Member or GM.
- Officers may discuss matters of policy and suggest their decisions to the Core as a matter of policy.
- Officers may choose to discuss their response/action to a matter prior to taking action in that matter at their discretion.
- Officers shall post incidents as they occur, describing the date, member name (alts if necessary), facts of the incident, and action taken at the time.
- Core should post matters of policy to be discussed prior to any changes in policy or the charter. Posts made shall be held in the strictest of confidence.
- Spamming & Flamming:-
(see also Article 3, SubArtilce D) Out of respect (Article 2) for other members of the guild and for the guild itself, no member shall post remarks in a manner that disrupts the operation of the guild, its site or its forums. No member shall post remarks with the intent of provoking arguments, or to slanderize another person or guild(s). No member will make statements toward another person or guild that would cause that person or guild to be in fear for their safety or life. No member will be discriminatory toward any person(s), or attempt to damage the guild as a whole. The GM may authorize moderators to police the forums so as to maintain the dignity, integrity and peace of the guild.
- Consequences:-
Violations of the chapter should be discussed before action is taken. In most cases a simple discussion with the violator is enough. Of matters described in SubArticles C or D, action may include verbal warning, demotion, and removal of the members ability to post on the forum and offending post (as described in SubArticle D). In matters relating to SubArticle D Core may remove (/gkick) the offender and the GM may block or ban the member from the guild site for as long as they deem necessary.
- Teamspeak:-
The Core will provide a voice chat server for members to use with the intent of increasing the guilds ability to communicate with each other and other guilds. The GM or Core may adjust policy affecting this chapter at any time. All members of JFG are strongly encouraged to participate in the voice chat servers.
- General Use:-
Policy affecting Guild Chat (/g), Officer Chat (/o) or any other guild communication also applies to this chapter. The Core will create instruction for logging into the TS server, registration procedure and TS use.
- Nicknames:-
All members of the guild are encouraged to create nicknames that represent their main toons in the guild. Otherwise people may become confused as to who the member is. Nicknames should not be rude or hateful, nor shall they contain sexual innuendo, or promote hate in anyway. Members are encouraged to REGISTER their nicknames with the TS server so as to protect their nicknames from being hi-jacked and thus impersonated.
- Etiquette:-
Voice chat is sometimes confusing as people will "walk" on each other (ie: talk at the same time), leave microphones "open", or have varying settings different than others. This is unavoidable. All members are encouraged to practice principles that will promote common courtesy to others and help avoid or eliminate such common problems.
- If someone else is talking wait before you speak. A simple pause of 1-2 seconds is enough to ensure that the person is done speaking or to allow another party to respond.
- Do not interrupt an ongoing conversation. Waiting 1-2 seconds before speaking will ensure a chance for participants to answer or continue their conversation.
- Be open-minded. Users may not realize their microphones are open, or have other communication problems. It may only be discovered by receivers or listeners. If someone tells you they HEAR something wrong, work together to resolve the issue. Things such as feedback, echo, open microphones and static may not be evident to the sender but heard by others in the channel.
- If AFK (Away From Keyboard) or away from your computer, please turn off or mute your microphone. Unless you want others to hear what your entire house is doing.
- Be aware of back ground noise. Especially with non-headset microphones. Background noise may be picked up by your microphone thus making it hard for others to hear you. Remove the noise. Example of this would be having a high recording sensitivity and your game sounds up high. Your microphone may pick up the game sounds and transmissions become hard to hear or impossible.
- Remember others are in the channel too! Try not to make long transmissions. Keep them short and to the point whenever possible. Usually 5-30 seconds is enough time to say what you need to. Others want to use the channel as well. In the event you need to speak longer than 30 seconds, announce that so others are aware and know to wait before answering or transmitting. (ex. blah blah ... blah blah, standby. (small pause) Continuing. blah blah...)
- If grouping and using TS create a separate channel for your group. This will help your group communicate more effectively and less likely your group will get disrupted by the chatter of the Main Lobby.
- Non-Guild Use:-
Any guild member may invite persons from outside the guild to use the TS server. Use of this privilege is at the discretion of the TS server admin. The inviting member is expected to relay the rules of use for the TS server to the visitor. Non guild members need not register with the server unless directed to do so by the server Admin or his/her representative.
- Consequences:-
Violations of this Article may be combined with other Articles or SubArticles of the charter. Violators will be warned once. Continued violations will result in mute/no voice in the channel or server for 24 hours. Further violations will invoke the wrathful god of war and you will be banned from the TS server.
- Guild Bank:-
JFG will maintain a guild bank for purposes of distributing the guilds wealth to all guild members in good standing. The following Sub-Articles will describe the set-up and use of the Guild's Bank.
- Guild Banker:-
(see also Article 7 SubArticle J) The designated banker may maintain as many banking toons as necessary to support the guild vault or make temporary promotions as needed to support the operation of the guilds vault.
- Expecations & Duties:-
- Guildbanker(s) may initiate events and activities that promote the guilds overall unity and/or productivity for its members.
- Should respond to guild members requests for items, money or service in a timely manner and make decisions on those requests based on current guild input. Bankers could use the forums, Officer, Core or GM input or any part of the guild charter to make this decision.
- Maintain the vault in an orderly fashion as directed by The Core and Officers.
- Assist in the development of "Asset Distribution" (see below) for the betterment of the guild and its members.
- Be proactive in response to ideas or suggestions.
- Be a direct contact between guild members and guild leadership in regards to the vault.
- Bankers may make "Bank Organizers" (titled position) to assist them in their duties.
- Vault Setup:-
Refer to Sub-Article D for withdraw/deposit tables. The guild will maintain 6 tabs for their members. The intended use of each tab will be upheld by the members (see Violation Proceures Article) and the banker as follows: (a breif summary is printed on the information tab at the bottom of each guild tab)
- Tab 1 -- Open Guild Tab -- Weapons and Armor: This tab is for Weapons or Armor only! Any item you place into an armor or weapon slot can go here. There is no level restriction on items to be placed here. IF this tab is full, you may Disenchant or sell items to make space. This is limited by your daily withdraw amount. If their are more than 21 items of level 60 or greater on this tab those items may be Disenchanted or sold to make room. This is also limited by your daily withdraw amount. If an item of level 20 or greater has less than 2 enhancements it is ok to disenchant. This is limited by your daily withdraw amount.
- Tab 2 -- Open Guild Tab -- Gear and Items: This tab is for Gear and Items (other than Weapons and Armor) of any level. IF this tab is full it is ok to Disenchant or sell items to make space. This is limited by your daily withdraw amount. If this tab contains more than 21 items of level 60 or more it is ok to Disenchant or sell items to make space. This is limited by your daily withdraw amount. If an item of level 20 or greater has less than 2 enhancements it is ok to disenchant. This is limited by your daily withdraw amount.
- Tab 3 -- Profession Recipes -- ONLY!!: This tab is for profession recipes. Do not deposit items other than recipes for a profession. These can be for any profession (primary or secondary).
- Tab 4 -- Crafting Materials --: This tab is for materials used in any profession. Please combine all items into full stacks and/or convert items (motes, crystallized items, chanter mats, etc) when ever possible. As an example, if there is a stack of 7 motes of mana and you deposit 5 motes of mana.. YOUR WRONG!.. combine the stack and make 1 primal mana and 3 motes of mana. If this tab is full, it is ok to sell items to make space. DO NOT SELL MORE ITEMS THAN YOU WANT TO DEPOSIT! Our crafters need all the help they can get. Do not store more than 7 FULL STACKS of any material). In other words lets not have 15 stacks of wool cloth.
- Tab 5 -- Level 60+ Items -- Gear/Items/Weapons/Armor: This tab is for items of level 60 or greater. Unlike tabs 1 and 2, this tab is for ONLY level 60 or higher items. If this tab is full it is ok to Disenchant or Sell items. Please do not take more than you need to make space. If there are more than 21 items of level 70 or greater it is ok to Disenchant to make room. If you dont need the materials from the disenchant please deposit those items into the CRAFTING MATERIALS. If an item has less than 2 enhancements it is ok to Disenchant or sell the item.
- Tab 6 -- Leaders Tab --: This is an open use tab for Lieutenants, Officers and Core Members. Remember, it is for open use and thus if you place an item on this tab it might get used by another guildmember.
- Donations & Withdraws:-
This Subarticle defines and dicatates the general and specific use of the guild's vault. First, a quick summary of Privs:
- View: Is the ability to view the contents of a tab. Viewing does not give the ability to withdraw.
- Deposit: Is the ability to put items into a tab. There is no limit to the amount someone can deposit. The ablitity to deposit is limited by rank and by view priv.
- Withdraw: Is the ability to take an item out of a tab. This is limited by an amount per day and is rank specific. Thus if you want to take more out of a tab one would need to earn a promotion.
- Tab Information: At the bottom of the guild vault window are tabs. One of them says INFORMATION. This priv refers to the ability to edit the text in the information. Tab information is useful for giving tab specific information. (Guild Bankers and above only)
- Gold: Is the amount of gold a person can use per day from the guilds vault. There are two categories: Repair and Withdrawl. Both are limited by the amount per day and is rank specific.
- REPAIR gold can only be used at a vendor where you repair your armor.
- WITHDRAWL gold is gold taken directly from the vault and put into your purse.
ENHANCEMENT ITEMS are items that, by default, have a bonus to stats, skills, spells, abilites or "on use" / "on equip" powers. These items are typically at least GREEN. (I dont think I've ever seen a white staff with +5 intellect drop from any mob!)
GENERAL DO-NOTs:
- DO NOT store QUEST items that are not used for dailies.
- DO NOT store items that are GREY!
- DO NOT store non-enhancement items or non-enhancement items you place an enchant on!
- DO NOT store more than 4 stacks of reputation items.
- DO NOT store items with an AH (Auction House) value less than 1 silver per full stack! (we that this!)
- DO NOT store band-aids!!!!!!!! (christ go learn the skill. you should have it anyway)
The following table will show withdraw amounts and privs for each rank of the guild.
Table Key:
- D = Deposit Priv
- T = Change Info Text priv
- V = View Priv
- # = Withdraw per day
- U = Unlimited use (or 999999)
- On the GOLD row, the # is the amount of Gold per day a guildmember may use. R means the gold is for repair. W means withdraw. Remember, Repair + withdraw = total gold per day.

- Assest Distribution:-
- The guild banker may auction off items held in the bank to create space with the following SUGGESTED exceptions. (Bankers do not have to get permission prior to aucitoning. They may make a judgement call and only post their articulation in the Officers forum.)
- Crafting materials with a full stack value of 1 silver or greater.
- Recipes, formulas, plans, blueprints, schematics, etc. of Green rarity or greater OR worth more than 5 silver.
- Items of Blue rarity useable by level 20 or greater. Items of Green rarity useable by level 40 or greater.
- Faction items/materials
- Special requests made by guild crafters.
- Guild Banker may make exception to any part of this Article in special circumstance. The banker need only post his/her articulation in the Officers forum to be in compliance with this Article.
- Since one of the original purposes of the guild bank was to help guild members purchase their mounts, the guild banker may allow a guild member to withdraw more money than they would normally be allowed. Bankers can make this decision on a per case basis and need only post their articulation to the officer forums.
- Another aspect of Asset Distribution will be the Guild Crafting System (currently in development). The banker will assist in the design and implemantation of a system to help more easily distribute/gather crafted items and the materials for those items.
- PvP Etiquette:-
Reserved for latter additionThere are NO Subarticles for this Article.
- Recruitment Policy:-
This article will describe the various roles of recruitment and the role of the guild's Recruitment Officer.
- Guild Recruitment Officer:-
(No part of this Article may over write any other Article in the Guild Charter)
Guild Recruitment Officer (GRO) is a TITLED position and not a rank of the guild. The GSO is responsible for organizing, comminicating, and collection of all things recruitment related.
This person will be a liason between the guild's leadership structure and the guild members. Through their own power or by delegation, the GRO will communicate with the Officers and Core Members the status and statistics of new members.
The GRO will be responisble for initiating recruitment drives (with approval from The Core), collecting stats of the new member(s) (see below) and comminicate that data in the form of posts OR updates in the approved location (*). New member stats should include AT LEAST the following:
- Toon Name
- Class and Level
- Date of recruitment
- List of alternate toons
During periods of CLOSED RECRUITMENT the GRO will assist/delegate the formation of Guild Recruitment Groups. As GRO see's fit, he/she may designate specific times or dates for such groups to occur.
During OPEN RECRUITMENT, the GSO should provide information to the new member(s) detailing the location of the guilds resources. Specifically, this should include (at least) general information on the website, Teamspeak server, Guild Charter, and the Guild's Vault policy.
The GRO will communicate with Officers and Core every two (2) weeks detailing the STATS of the new members and what the new member(s) have brought to the guild. The GRO may use all of the communication resources at the guilds disposal, but MUST include a posting to the OFFICERs forum.
(*)This section refers to the Guild Management System (not completed yet).
- Open & Closed Recruitment:-
Closed and open recruitment will be subject to The Core's discreation. Lieutenants and above are encouraged to offer their oppinions for all changes in RECRUITMENT and The Core may make decisions based on their input.
- During times of OPEN recruitment, the power to /ginvite will be given to all MEMBERS (rank 7) or higher of the guild (subject to change by the The Core). Periods of OPEN recruitment although open to all levels and types of players, may be limited by majoirty vote of The Core.
- During times of CLOSED recruitment, recruitment groups will be used (Article 3, Section E) and the power to /ginvite will be limited to OFFICERS and above. The purpose of CLOSED recruitment may change with each incident of recruitment, and should be agreed on by a majority vote of The Core and then posted in the GUILD CHAT forum for all to see.
- Violation Procedure:-
JFG accepts all play styles and is willing to work with any member, but we also will not waste our time on those who will not learn.
- Kicking (/gkick):-
Removal from the guild is a powerful tool. Only trusted ranks have the ability to remove a member of the guild. Trusted ranks may discuss the use of /gkick prior to its use. The Core is expected to use /gkick as necessary for the protection or betterment of the guild and its members. Once a member of JFG has been removed all toons of that member must also be removed to protect the peace and order of the guild. A member removed in this fashion may return to the guild, in accordance with all parts of the charter, at the approval of the Core.
- Demoting (/gdemote):-
Is another tool used by trusted ranks. Since JFG is a guild with diversity this power is a good alternative to /gkick. Any guild member demoted from rank may appeal the demotion to any member of the Core. Any guild member demoted may re-attain his/her rank as described previously in the charter.
- General Procedure:-
General Procedure: Unless otherwise stated else where in the charter, the following procedure will be used to handle violations of any Article of the charter. Generally, this procedure should to be followed in the order given. Since there are millions of variables and circumstances in any incident, movement through this procedure may be accelerated as needed. A ranking member need only articulate the action taken, in the appropriate forum, to be in accordance with this Article or Sub-article.
- First Offense: verbal warning from a ranking member. Posting of the incident in the appropriate forum for discussion and communication. Don't ask someone else to post for you, its better to get the information from the source. The posting should contain the following:
- Time and date of the incident
- Name of the violator
- Ranking member
- Other people involved
- Facts of the incident
- Second Offense: Demotion (/gdemote) of one rank or to rank 9 (celestial turd) and a posting in the appropriate forum by the one dealing with the incident. The demotion (/gdemote) should be for, not less than, 24 hours. The posting should be as described previously.
- Third Offense: Demotion (/gdemote) to rank 9 until officers and core decide what to do with the violator and a posting in the appropriate forum as described above.
- Forth Offense: Final offense. Kicking (/gkick) will be used to remove the member from the guild in accordance with the charter. A posting will be made in the appropriate forum as described previously. A Core member, closest (in terms of information) to the incident, will post the incident in the guilds general forum as an example to all guild members.
- Consequences:-
Violation of this Article will be handled on a case by case basis by The Core.
- Changes to the Charter:-
JFG is not a democracy or body of government. It is a gaming guild created to support other gamers of all styles. As such the guilds charter is beyond reproach once approved and no word, deed, or doctrine may violate or change the Guild Charter without approval from The Core as described previously.
We realize that no person will be able to maintain anything like perfect adherence to the principles described in the charter. We claim personal progress rather than personal perfection. As such, The Core may change any portion of the Guilds Charter after discussion with other Core and majority vote of the Core.
The Core will set the direction of the guild, assign duties or expectations to the ranks of the guild, and may delegate as needed to maintain the guild in good working order. The Core may listen to special panels or groups created by Officers, as previously described, but has a duty to JFG to act in the guilds best interest, as The Core see's it.
